Summary
Everyone in society must be part of a pack. It is a physical requirement to be part of at least one pack. For most the first pack they have is with their parents and families. To not have a pack means to die a slow painful death.
Timothy Drake was born with a rare genetic defect, also known as Pack-less Disease, which makes him unable to form a bond with a pack. Thus he just has to make the best of his situation as the estimated life expectancy of someone with his condition is 18 years old. He has a lot to accomplish before his time is up and helping the Bat-Pack is a great choice in his opinion.

Most omegas are polite and submissive. Most omegas have children and tend house for their alpha. Most omegas don’t eat the rude.
Most omegas also wouldn’t be interested in a strange, caustic alpha with almost no scent. A man who can feel what killers feel, capable of understanding anyone.
Hannibal Lecter is not most omegas, and he’s never been more pleased about that.
