Zuko was in a much better place now compared to a year ago.
So, that's where the story ends, right? Nobody beats him or tells him he's worthless anymore. He has everything he could ever want now; a loving family, kind friends, and a supportive boyfriend.
He's happy. He really is.
Until one flippant comment brings it all crashing down.

Summary
Suki awoke to no one behind her. Sure, there was Zuko in front, but there was a distinct lack of pressure on her back. Usually when someone was missing from the bed it was Zuko, his nightmares giving him nausea. The fact that Sokka was missing on its own wasn’t a reason to worry though.
Slowly extracting herself, Suki made her way over to the window. But she wasn’t greeted by the sight of the full moon as she expected. A wave of panic washed over her. If Yue wasn’t at her peak, why was Sokka out in the middle of the night?

Sokka is my favourite character and I don't like that he's only seen as a comic, he is but so much more. I also think that being told you need to look after your tribe and make sure that your sister survives at 13 would do damage to your mental health. This is my attempt at addressing it and the impact it would've had on him.
