There may be a few ship fics in here, but I don't generally ship shayden, so this is mostly friendship fics bc I do love their friendship. I feel like friendships are kinda underappreciated in fandom tbh, I love reading about ships don't get me wrong, but platonic relationships are just as important. I do think that hayden is bisexual and thinks shane is hot tbh, but I like them better as friends than a couple personally. Then again I end up reading just about any ship, so there may well end up being ship fics in here too.

It's all Marly's fault.
He just had to mention 'Jane from Montreal' during an interview. And then JJ went and tweeted about 'Boston Lily'.
And sure, Shane and Ilya are out and married now, but there are some things they had managed to keep private, their burner twitter accounts for one. But with the names Jane and Lily out there and their apparent 'very recognizable talking patterns' it took the internet 0.5 seconds to find them. And now Shane and Ilya have to deal with their friends publicly reacting to things they thought would forever remain anonymous.
Surprising everyone, Ilya is the one suffering the most.

It’s a game like any other when Shane gets slammed head-first into the barricade by Marleau and he goes down like a sack of potatoes, staggering off the barricade and dropping almost immediately first to one knee and then onto all fours, dizzily shaking his head and fumbling with his gloves.
