Summary
The grand and war-torn city of Minas Tirith is not a very suitable place for a hobbit, and while recovering here after the destruction of the Ring, Frodo feels increasingly hopeless and disconnected. However, through a few honest moments shared with friends and acquaintances, he just might be able to find a great deal of compassion, a little romance, and maybe even a good night’s sleep during his stay here.

Summary
Eighteen-year-old Sam has some extra spending money. He decides to use it to buy favors from Frodo. Yes, this is high on the list of Things That Would Never Happen in Canon. [Repost; originally posted on other archives in 2004. Back then it caused some scandal in the LOTR fandom, but I doubt the AO3 community of today will bat an eyelash.]
