Summary
“I have come,” said the stranger in grey, “to help where I can. And to offer kindness where I might.”
“Help,” said Círdan. “A better word than aid, I think. And kindness a better word than salvation, or holy war, or the clean-up crew. Yet you seem to have mislaid your shining sword, your bright sails, and your sounding horns?”
The stranger looked at his own ragged grey robe and at the gnarled staff propped beside his chair, and drew himself up a little. “One tries one’s best, Lord of the Havens.”

Summary
“My dear Mr. Baggins, you cannot possibly imagine I have brought you across the boundaries of the sundered world, bending every law of gods and men, over land and over sea and through the fathomless heights, for your health? Well, I did, of course I did, and I’d do it again. But it was not for your own good only that I brought you here. I have been on this world a very long time, Mr. Baggins, and if there is one thing that I have learned about the Wise and the Great, it’s that they benefit from the company of hobbits, and it’s the wisest and greatest who have most need of them.”

One of my favorite characterizations of the Feanorians! I never thought I needed Feanor becoming friends with Frodo or Maglor with Sam but this is an amazing depiction of what they both bring to a friendship!

Summary
A bargain to keep Loki from rotting on the Raft has not gone as either brother hoped. The Odinsons bide their time on Earth, uncertain of their allegiance and future, as Loki's ennui grows. Thor's quest for a fabled Asgardian relic brings the brothers to Norway, where they cross paths with a mysterious local archaeologist who turns Loki's relationship with humanity on its ear.
------------------------
A Loki character study, with plenty of Thor, exploring that complex Brodinson thing, as well as Loki's relationship to the planet he once tried to rule, humanity in general, and his damaged sense of self. And layered on top, a Loki/OC slow burn.

After the Éothéod revolt against the Wainriders, the northern tribes seek to form strong alliances with their neighbors. Lord Frumgar tasks his son Fram to lead the delegation to Imladris. With him, he brings gold, fine horses, and two young thralls chosen by his father to be given to Lord Elrond himself. Elrond is conflicted to say the least.
