When Jason gets hit by the Scarecrow's toxin, Dick gets to witness firsthand just how disturbed Jason's psyche really is, and can't reconcile that how Bruce - and he - have reacted to Jason since his return. Dick's newfound knowledge makes him more than a little horrified when the Joker decides Jason being alive is a personal affront and goes after him.

Notes:

For those who want a concrete timeframe, I've been writing from a place where Dick, Bruce and Tim went on their quest to find themselves after Infinite Crisis and subsequently returned from it. However, I think in the universe of the fic Jason didn't masquerade as Nightwing while Dick was gone, just continued on as the Red Hood.

Salvage Project and Abnegation were inspired by prompts from the robincest meme at dcu_memes. There's a strong potential for a third fic, not based on any prompt.
