Summary
“Wait up,” Diego caught the elevator doors before they slid closed, pushing them back open and slipping easily inside. He stood next to Five, who glanced at him, before turning back to face the front. Allison stepped into the elevator next, asking him to hold the door, and one by one, they started filing in. Slowing his pace, Klaus fell behind the others as Vanya and Luther squeezed into the elevator. It looked far too small to fit all six of them, he thought, and his stomach flipped.
He got as far as the doorway and then froze abruptly, “You know, guys, maybe this isn’t such a good idea."

Summary
When his stomach had emptied itself completely, (and then some), he wiped his mouth on the back of his hand and, incredibly reluctantly, let Luther scoop him up in his arms to carry him back to the couch. Diego felt completely, utterly pathetic and he hated it more than anything, as his brother gently eased him back onto the couch and his sister covered him with a blanket. Even then, neither of would just leave him there and go back to bed, stubborn bastards.
“What’s with the midnight party?” Klaus yawned, obviously roused by the noise, and he budged up on the couch to make room for Allison.
“Diego’s sick. Flu or something,” Luther told him, as he turned on the coffee machine, “We found him puking his guts out in the bathroom. He’s got a fever.”
“Thanks for that mental image,” Klaus rubbed his eyes and now, all three of them were staring at Diego as he curled into a foetal position on the couch. He felt so, so, so terrible. It took everything in him not to cry for Mom and if Luther wasn’t watching him over the top of his coffee, he probably would’ve done so.

Summary
Dave nodded, seeming to process this information, “I think he’s the reason I’m here.”
“Because this place reminds you of him?” Ben guessed.
Having seen Klaus’s usual haunts, it was easy to picture him in this place. Prancing around the dance floor, slowly swaying to the music as it had taken over his entire body, and drinking far too heavily at the bar. Talking, drinking, and flirting. Just like he did whenever he was in a bar but, likely, much more passionately with the sense that he was living on borrowed time. Klaus would’ve known that his time in Vietnam would come to the end and, knowing his brother like he did, Ben suspected he would’ve seized every moment as if it was his last.
“No, that’s not it,” Dave shook his head slowly, looking thoughtful, “I’m… I’m waiting for him here. Does that make sense?”

Summary
“Now, listen here,” Klaus was stumbling away from the bar with another drink in his hand, swaying as he jabbed a finger in his father’s direction, “Dee here has spent his entire life trying to make you happy. I will not- no, I won’t stand here and listen to this.”
Nodding, Allison added, “Klaus is right. All you ever do- all you’ve ever done- is put us down.”
The rest of them looked to their father for his response; none of them had ever stood up to him like that before.
It seemed to only spur Reginald on, his gaze still fixed on his youngest son, “You’re a desperate man, tragically aware of his own insignificance,” Even Luther, who was usually Diego’s biggest critic, had narrowed his eyes at his father now, “Desperately clinging to his own ineffectual reasoning. More succinctly, a man in over his h-“
That was when the pile of fruit in the middle of the table violently exploded. They'd underestimated Vanya, yet again.

Summary
This is not a ship fic. This is anti-Allison/Luther.
Since meeting Raymond, something had shifted deep inside her. A realisation that her and Luther had never truly been in love- on her part, it had been a desperate plea for any kind of affection. On his part, he’d been under her control all this time.
She had expected her wish to fade away over time, especially during the years they’d spent apart, but had arrived at her father’s funeral to find Luther couldn’t move on. He still looked at her as if she was the entire world. Without even realising it, Allison had been holding him hostage for… how many years now? Looking at him now, (how different he looked to when she’d last seen him), she couldn’t help wondering what Luther would be like if she’d never made her wish.
There was no doubt in her mind that he would be happier.

Summary
It wasn’t his fault though. There was some sort of innate fear buried deep inside her, which had crawled its way up to the surface, that Vanya realised now had always been there. A phantom memory surfaced of her pacing the length of a small, dimly lit room. The feeling of hammering her fists against a glass door until she thought the bones in her hands would shatter. Much like her nightmares, the memory slipped away before she could dig her nails into it. So close.
“I-it’s fine,” Vanya sniffed, tears rolling down her face now, “I’m sorry.”
Allison shook her head, “You don’t have to apologise.”

Summary
While she knew that Klaus had been able to summon their brother, once at the Icarus Theatre, Allison was surprised by the question. It had been made clear that Ben hadn’t made it to 1963 with them and honestly, so much time had passed since that fateful night, Allison was beginning to think that the summoning had been a fluke. Or a miracle. Or maybe she'd simply imagined the entire thing. Either way, it seemed like a one-off event.
However, her siblings were talking about Ben as if he’d just popped to the store for some milk, rather than dying tragically sixteen years ago.
“He’s gone,” Klaus’ voice cracked, “Benny finally took his ticket to heaven. Didn’t he?”
He sat up on the bed in a flash, startling all of them, looking to Vanya for confirmation.
Vanya nodded slowly, “He sacrificed himself to save me, and the world in the process.”
