Summary
"What's your motive for this? For all of this?" Bruce says, gesturing to the chaos. "Why do you do this?"
The Joker smiles. He's alluring in the flicker of the fire, with green hair slicked back and skin the color of falling moons. There's something almost sympathetic in that smile. "Because I want this!" He gestures to the ruined people, and the fire, reflected in Bruce's irises. "I want you and me and Gotham, always competing in this addicting way of ours. And the funny thing is, I don't care who wins or loses, as long as we're both playing the same game."
His fingers grasp Bruce's throat, in a gesture both playful and menancing.
"You and me, Bats. That's all I want."
And around them, the world burns.
When Wayne Enterprises comes under fire for its lack of inclusivity, Bruce and Lucius organize the Inmate Rehabilitation Program- a rare opportunity for the criminals of Gotham to try their shot at a normal life, with the hardest worker winning the title of Bruce Wayne’s personal assistant. The Joker, in desperate need of entertainment, decides to join the program in order to steal the Wayne Fortune.
Things do not go as planned.

As Bruce steps on the stage, he holds out a hand for Jack to take. He obliges, walking steadily in front of the sea of people ready to celebrate the fall of Gotham’s most notorious villain.
“As you all know,” His boyfriend begins. “Today is the two-year anniversary of the Joker’s death.”
Yet somehow, the world is on fire again. Because the Joker isn’t dead. Not by a long shot.
Just so well disguised that he might as well have been.
At least, not until this moment, where Jack looks at himself, reflected in the television screens set up in the town square, and finally remembers who he is.
Two years after the Joker “died” and had his memory wiped to become Jack Napier, trophy boyfriend and personal assistant to reformed playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, and most importantly, superhero Bruce Wayne, Ivy’s plan to eradicate Gotham starts to stir the past up. With a deadline to save the city before it’s lost to the ashes forever, his world as he knows it crumbling around him, and the one, definitive fact that he loves Bruce Wayne no matter who he happens to be, it’s only a matter of time before he falls apart.
Obviously, things do not go as planned.
