Following Shadowmoth's ultimatium Adrien Agreste is doing... surprisingly well. His newfound friend plays a huge part in that. With the loneliness that has long plagued him abated he can turn his attention to others in need. Ladybug and Marinette Dupain-Cheng top the list, but relationships of all kinds can be tricky and even the best of intentions aren't enough to succeed on their own. On top of that Shadowmoth is not sitting idly by. Jealously he guards his newfound power. He moves cautiously but as he learns each strike becomes more dangerous than the last. Can Adrien order his life, support his Lady, and help bring Shadowmoth to heel or is it too much to ask of just one feline, even if he has nine lives to give?

It's the beginning of Lycée. Marinette and Chloé have been developing a friendship that started after their mutual aftereffects of The Monarch's attacks in Dog Daze. Both seem to think there is something else beyond the pain, and beyond simple friendship at this point, but neither knows how to begin. Marinette struggles with the very idea of this new form of attraction herself, while Chloé struggled to find a way to clean her slate before she can even begin to try for anything more. Both seek out help, and in the end, they find each other.
