Summary
My earlier E-rated posting got good response and I had unspoken ideas about why there was so much fire between those two in that quick-and-dirty sequence. I explore that here and greatly slow down the speed before they ignite.
Time period is still the 1820s. Same house. Same two stubborn people. Sequentially shortly after the events of The Edge. Much expounded upon backstory. If you're here for the E it will come very late in this work, in deep contrast to the last.
If you're a fan of Reign or similar period pieces you're likely to enjoy this series. Like most TV shows set between the 1500s and early 1900s, every little aspect may not be perfectly historically accurate, and I've left their physical descriptions a bit open ended for you the reader to supply some of your own preferences, but there's plenty of meat on the bones to be explored. There is some flavor of Austen's Emma here, also, if they were both less morally stringent. So if you struggle with who to cast in his and her role in your mind, supplant your favorite casting for one of the Emma films and you'll not be far off, though I have thought of her as brunette (I don't tend to intentionally write blondes) and closer to him in age.
