Summary
Kara's mother taught her how to weave them years ago. Knotting and beaconing the thread on a solid surface, it was common in Krypton to braid the bracelet with a loved one. There wasn’t just ceremony in giving, but in creating.
Lena is tying the bracelet around her wrist gently, fingers nudging at Kara’s skin. “Is this too tight?” She can feel Kara’s pulse as she holds the threads.
Kara nods. But she cringes too, in the back of her mind. How on earth 一 how on any planet 一 is she supposed to blurt out something as fundamentally unblurtable as “so I know we just did crafts together and it feels like we’re at summer camp but, in my world, we essentially performed a ceremony that vows our undying love to one another”?
Lena wants to make friendship bracelets one night, and Kara wants to make Lena happy. She'd do anything for Lena. But Lena doesn't know that, on Krypton, exchanging a handmade bracelet is the equivalent of getting down on one knee, or renewing your vows. Spoiler alert: Lena loves Kara too.

Summary
Kara takes the myth of the sea quite seriously. She never quite got over her Percy Jackson phase, she explained once, and Lena filed that tidbit away for a birthday or Christmas.
Kara takes every myth seriously, and treats every speck and glimmer of faith like a breadcrumb on a forest path.

Summary
Kara was there once, sitting in the back ー Kara with the messy ponytails, loops of blonde sticking out; Kara who bit her lip and then leaned in to bite Lena’s ー “darling, do you want this?” she’d say in the parking lot, leading Lena to her car; sometimes her feet would drag and they’d dance clumsily between painted white lines.
Lena used to see the two of them ending up together. Now she’s just seeing double.
Kara and Lena meet, and date, and break up messily, at a bar. Now it's Lena's place to mourn what they used to have. She and her friends at the bar sing and weep and commiserate. Meanwhile, Kara's been doing a lot of thinking of her own.

“No!” Kara yells. “You can’t help - please get out!” How on earth can this woman not understand that the museum’s been evacuated?
Lena frowns. "There’s no siege?”
“They’re edging closer now, there’s not much time, you-”
Lena pulls her arm away from Kara’s grasp. “You need to get a grip. They know me ー in fact, I think I might be the human they know best. Maybe they imprinted on me, like a bunch of baby ducks. They - the Varnelis come here sometimes. They like shiny figurines,” she mutters.
Supergirl attempts to save Rusty and Carol's Tchotchke Emporium, a museum of tacky knickknacks, from the Varneli alien ship trying to conquer it. Except... the Varnelis are just trying to enjoy the cute knickknacks, Lena is the Varnelis' human tour guide and close friend... and Supergirl now has a crush on the tour guide too.
(Dammit. No wonder the Varnelis fell in love with Lena.)
