Harry always ordered vanilla ice cream.
And really, it shouldn't have made Draco lose his mind. It shouldn't matter what kind of ice cream his boyfriend ordered everytime they took Scorp to the park and had ice cream together. But it did.
Harry loved food. He had broadened Draco's palate significantly by cooking for him; he used a wide array of spices and herbs, he'd loved learning to cook and reclaiming a piece of his childhood.
When Draco found out the reason, he decided that he was going to do something about it.

The corner of the postcard had been torn when it arrived, just a little nick, not enough to ruin the image of the ocean on the front or distort the message on the back.
Draco had read it so many times when it arrived in the mail yesterday that he didn't actually need to read the words now to know what it said. Tracing his fingers over the nick in the corner was enough to make him block out whatever Pansy was saying so he could replay the message in his mind.

Draco was always posh, always pristine; tailored robes and tailored suits, shoes always shined, platinum hair in a perfectly coiffed undercut. It drove Harry wild; desperate to muss him up a bit.
And nothing. Absolutely nothing could have prepared him for what he was currently seeing.
Draco Malfoy was standing by the pool, a strand of (silky, soft) hair hanging over his eye, shirt unbuttoned halfway down his (ridiculously toned) chest, his linen trousers rolled up to expose his (unfairly delicate) ankles. And he was barefoot.

He'd never even imagined that someday he and Harry might apologize for the wounds they'd caused and become friends. But that's what had happened and Draco honestly couldn't have been more thrilled about it. There was occasionally the niggling at his heart, the desire for it to tip over into something more, but it was enough just to be with him, to be counted among those he trusted and cared for.
And care for him, Harry certainly did. He knew how Draco took his tea, knew his favorite food after a hard case, and even brought flowers to leave on Draco's desk to cheer him up. The first time Harry brought him flowers, Draco's heart had felt like it was going to fly out of his ribs. And then subsequently every time following, he really was a hopeless sod.
But nothing prepared his heart for the sight of Harry, sitting in the tall meadow of grass behind Ginny and Luna's cabin, with a flower crown on his head and flowers woven into his long curly hair. He couldn't breathe as he stood, several meters off, and watched him tip his head back to laugh at something Ginny had said. For a moment, he thought he might die of want.

Summary
Draco fucking loathed the heat.
He despised the summer, with the hot fucking sun and too few clouds. He hated the way his body felt, too hot, sticky, always wet, his clothes damp where they clung to his skin. It felt like the outdoors was boiling him in his own sweat.
But it didn't change the fact that he was sticky, sweaty, hot and currently, more to the point, also fucking aroused.
Because Harry Potter didn't seem to have the same problems that Draco had in the heat. His bronze skin glistened with sweat and tanning oil; beads of water rolling down his pecks and abdomen, collecting in the hair on his chest and stomach when he emerged from the pool. Potter, instead of turning a hideously unattractive shade of red like Draco, only continued to grow more golden in the sun, painfully fucking beautiful. His swim trunks were indecently short, clinging to his muscular thighs and perfectly round arse, and leaving far too much of his skin on display.
It wasn't fair for Draco to have to be this hot and also attracted to someone. Attraction took up way too much space in his brain and body and he simply didn't have the energy for it in this heat.
