Summary
He wasn’t lonely. The other spirits had taken care of that, somehow constantly being in his presence regardless of what time of day he left his chambers. Most commonly, it was the couple currently giving the sappiest and most annoying of farewells.
Which meant –
Kaoru had to stop the little tingle of excitement that began bubbling up in his belly. It was unseemly for someone in his position. But even so, he couldn’t ignore the fact that, if the two before him were parting, it meant that someone else would be returning soon.
