Sasha Waybright is victorious, she cuts the cord keeping her best friend trapped in her own body, but it becomes clear that, despite winning, there is no way out for her. She lay on the floor, her vision fades in and out, dark around the edges in the way only death manages to create.
Her final moments would be spent listening to that cursed helmet scream itself dead and watching Marcy awaken, so why did the screaming stop so early?

Summary
Upon capturing Anne and Sasha, The Core raises the blazing knife high above its head, ready to strike when something makes it freeze. Its arms go limp, falling to its sides as its many eyes, on and off the helmet, shut down. They all reopen a second later, yellow replaced with green. It leaves the room swiftly, muttering a half-assed "Go put them in a cell."
Marcy Wu has accepted to join The Core, officially making Darcy a real being...but it seems that Darcy has different priorities than The Core did. Also, Marcy seems to both attract the power of wit and the power of chaos...Darcy is not amused.
