In the modern world, hot mess express Stede Bonnet travels to southwestern Florida for work not knowing that within the span of one week, he will have been sunburnt, drunk, mislead, rescued, betrayed, fired from his job, kicked out of a fancy hotel, smuggled into and out of that same fancy hotel, jailed overnight, disguised as a character from The White Lotus, hit on by a greasy cowboy, set up in a fraud scheme, involved in a fuckery, and served two great breakfasts.
All while meeting a crew of lovely people and falling in love with the one man who might make it all worthwhile.

Summary
Falling in love and falling in bed are easy. Making a life together is hard.
After meeting and smashing in Florida, Stede Bonnet returns to Philadelphia to try to get his ducks in a row, while Ed Teach carries on in Florida and realizes that he doesn't have any ducks, much less anything to put in a row. They click like crazy when they are together, but all that chemistry distracts from the reality of making a life together later in life.
