“You have to stop running. You could catch a swell at the wrong time, or trip, or get caught in ropes.” Izzy says, slowly. He keeps his voice down, and he pauses to shoot a glare at the onlookers surrounding him. “You need to understand where your feet are going to be before they’re even there.”
Michael nods.
“Otherwise I go into the drink!” He sing-songs, a bit too enthusiastic for a child talking about his potentially violent and painful death by drowning.
