The man was dressed all in black, like he was going to a freaking funeral. Kinda fitting actually. Sam could relate. As if sensing Sam’s perusal, he glanced up, giving a brief nod and a tight smile, Sam hit with the most gorgeous pair of eyes he’d ever seen. Blue shimmered with gray, lending the stranger an ethereal quality that more than made up for his decidedly grungy appearance. Hair shaggy and unkempt, escaping the man bun he’d thrown it in, scruff lining a jaw that was probably too chiseled for Sam’s peace of mind…
He stiffened at the thought, wondering where it had even come from. He was not the sort to go checking out rando’s at airports, especially one that looked like he’d just rolled out of bed, opting out of the shower to save time because he was running late.
Sam was never late. This dude looked like he’d never made it on time for anything.
OR: Sam and Bucky are awkward, bickering guests at the same destination wedding and keep running into each other.

We’ll find your home tomorrow." He plopped down, reaching for the remote the same time he found his lap full of cat. “One night,” he said again but didn’t move Figaro. “Then you got to go.”
OR: Sam Wilson is a commitment phobe firefighter. Bucky Barnes is an overworked college student. Neither of them have the time or inclincation for romance. But two cats just may change all that. Tis' the season for some Christmas fluff!

“I got this. It’s gonna be fine,” Bucky repeated under his breath. As a tracker, he’d hung off cliffs, infiltrated a cult, been shot by mobsters, stabbed by a jealous spouse or two, and almost had to cut off his own arm during an avalanche. How hard could teaching a bunch of kindergarteners be?
“Everyone say, ‘good morning, Mister Barnes’,” the principal instructed.
“Good morning, Mister Barnes,” came a chorus of tiny voices in perfect unison that left him feeling like he’d stepped foot in a Stephen King flick.
Crap.
Maybe he didn’t have this.
