He just managed to grab the woman by the arm before she could stumble.
As surprised as she seemed, a smile quickly formed on her lips.
"Oh, it’s no problem, everything's fine. Nothing happened after all," she said soothingly, and Robbie returned the smile shyly.

Robbie quickly got to his feet and blushed.
"G-good evening," he greeted his counterpart who looked at him, almost concerned.
"What are you doing here? Are you hurt? Or one of your relatives?"
Robbie quickly shook his head.
"Nae, I... it's a long story."
A soft smile spread across the woman's face and she shrugged.
"Good thing I'm on my break, huh? I'll get us some coffee and we can talk.”
Robbie didn't even get the chance to reply anything for Ms. McCoy was already heading off to get the coffee.
He sat back down, a weak smile forming on his face.
Maybe this night wasn't as bad as he had thought it to be.

His heart was beating out of his chest as he rang the bell with Leah's name on it and waited on the doorstep. Once again, he checked his appearance in the reflection of the door.
His hair was messy, but apparently he couldn't do anything about that. His pants and shirt looked well enough. The shoes were clean.
All in all, he didn't look too bad. At least that's what his mother would have said.
His eyes fell onto the bouquet of flowers he had bought after work. They still looked fresh.

Robbie let out a deep sigh as he stopped in front of a wee shop and stared at a model of Santa and a reindeer.
"Why don't ye tell me what I should do, eh?"
He didn't get an answer. Of course. What else had he expected? Until...
"Well... maybe you should stop frowning and show the world your friendly smile. That would be a great start."
Robbie's eyes widened in surprise when he heard a disguised Santa voice coming from behind him and he whirled around.
He couldn't believe who he saw in front of him. Instantly, a blush crept onto his cheeks.
