Sometimes, as Satoru lay in bed, he would wonder if he was even real. He was almost scared to try and find out. Years of people telling him he was dirtying himself with mortals and disappointing the godly side of him whenever he laughed had made him realize that the only way to truly know if he was real, an actual human, would involve lots of blood.

Their eyes seemed to stare at him, picking apart his mind as they shuffled back and forth next to their humans. The scratch of one’s claws screeched in Suguru’s mind. Their mindless mumbles felt like daggers. He wanted to kill them, make them dust. Turn away and let someone else take care of it.
