Summary
"No, you don't understand Stede," Ed said, talking over Stede's undoubtedly politely accepting platitudes. "I don't mean I'm the Kraken in a metaphorical way because I told that story the other night. I mean, when I get that angry, I literally turn into a Kraken-like creature."
"Oh, well, I'm sure that's fine. You haven't gotten angry enough for that to happen, and I've seen you in the midst of a raid. If that doesn't do it..."
"How are you just handling this so well?" Ed asked with a scoff.
"Because... Because you're my friend, Ed.["]

Summary
The only thing that had eaten away at [Izzy] was it was all so cliche, being the second in command and an omega. Of course most of the crew assumed that meant that he helped Blackbeard through his ruts, and unfortunately they weren't entirely wrong. Part of Izzy's job was helping Edward... when he went into heat. They were both omegas, and honestly the most important part of Izzy's job was helping to keep that a secret.
For the best, since it seemed that acting as an alpha for Edward all those years had made Izzy's own heats much more bearable. He hadn't had to worry about them for over a decade by the time they had set foot on the Revenge, but now Ed was infatuated with Stede fuckin' Bonnet, and Izzy could feel his heat coming on.
He was fucked.

Summary
[...]Stede Bonnet was the last fucking person that Ed had thought he'd see when the Queen Anne's Revenge was flagged down by a fucking dingy. He watched as everyone, except for Izzy, welcomed the other crew with open arms. Izzy, thankfully, had the tip of his sword pressed against Stede's chest so that blood was blossoming on his shirt.
"Should I slit his throat where he stands, boss?" he asked.
Ed stalked forward, growling at Fang who was hugging a very ragged Lucius to his chest [... Ed] stopped once he was standing right next to Izzy and Stede, to his credit, didn't flinch. He continued to watch Izzy's hand, and Ed supposed he did learn a thing or two from his lessons. However, he was now clearly distracted by Ed's presence, and Ed honestly should have let Izzy get it over with.
He wanted to have some fun first, though.
"That's alright, Iz. That would be too quick of a death for him."

Summary
From the moment he and Ed had finished their breakfast, he was out on the deck. Climbing the rigging, checking in with Buttons about their current course, and helping Wee John and Fang move the rest of the loot from their last raid into storage. Occasionally he would walk by wherever Ed had set up camp. His lovely partner -- his wonderful co-captain -- had put on one of the airier pairs of pants from the auxiliary wardrobe, with only one of their shared robes on top. His hair had been pulled back in a low ponytail, most of it falling into his face before lunch time. Every time Stede passed him, Ed was lounging wherever there was enough space, snacking on the fruits that Roach had stolen for the kitchen or sipping yet another cup of tea.
As the day went by, he started to look less and less relaxed. A few times, he tugged on Stede's sleeve when he walked by.

Summary
When Stede came to, he couldn't move, and he wondered if the blow to the head had paralyzed him.
Then he felt the ropes digging into his wrist and ankles. There also was something solid and warm behind him, keeping him upright, and he started to struggle against his bindings, that presence started to wriggle about as well. Wary, despite the evidence that they were tied up as well, Stede glanced over his shoulder as discreetly as he could to see what he was up against... literally.
He let out a sigh and a bittersweet, "Ed," and Ed started to thrash harder.
"Fuck, Stede. Don't worry, love. I... I got this. I'll get us out of this."

Summary
[Crowley] had known Aziraphale for over 6000 years. He had been there the first time the angel had seen a book. He had watched as the angel insisted the human show him how it was made, rubbing the pages of the book between his fingers with as much reverence as he would a holy object.
And they were. They were holy to Aziraphale. He had started coveting them that very day. He had convinced the man, a monk no less, to part ways with that book.
[...]
Crowley had never seen the angel that obsessed with anything except for food, and even then that kind of ferver was reserved for only specific foods.

Summary
Stede had known that he and Ed wouldn't be able to go right back to how they had been before. He wasn't an idiot. It did still get to him a bit that his crew saw his opptimist as some sort of blind faith that everything would work out on its own. He knew that there was going to have to be apologies (on both their ends, it seemed) and an effort to repair their relationship.
So with that knowledge, Stede had to say that it could be going much worse!
Although, he and Ed hadn't had a single private conversation since Ed had woken up. When they were together with the crew, Ed even refused to speak to Stede directly, but he couldn't avoid Stede forever.

Summary
Oluwande hadn't been lying when he said that Archie was cute, and he wasn't jealous that she and Jim had gotten together. That would have been hypocritical considering the fact that he had made out with Zheng.<>p>
Maybe he was a little jealous, though, but not of Archie kissing Jim. More, like, in the other direction.
