Summary
Many stories have grand starts, with men of greatness meeting in fine establishments or well-known towns, destiny drawing their brilliance together as if they were magnets.
Hosea Matthews on the other hand, meets Dutch van der Linde on the side of a road neither of them remembers on his way to Chicago. And even after they each give back what they stole from the other, he's not entirely certain the younger man isn't trying to con him again. But there's something about him that makes Hosea want to get closer. To maybe even stick around to see if those pretty words will become a beautiful reality.

After Sean's return party, Arthur Morgan looks forward to getting out of camp for awhile, getting back on the road to hunt and explore and get the peace and quiet he doesn't get when he's with the others. Charles asks to join him. And Arthur finds he can't say no.

Summary
Charles is finding there really isn't an awful big difference between living on your own and living in a group, beyond the obvious. He works just as much as he did then, to help lighten others loads and because some in the group do barely anything at all. But when Arthur comes to him to ask him to join him on a treasure hunt of all things, he decides to indulge the other man. If nothing else, it's time spent in his company and Charles will never miss an oppurtunity to quietly admire all that makes Arthur Morgan himself.
Whether that be petting every single stray dog they come across or falling off a goddamn cliff.

Something's been bothering Arthur lately and Hosea's not entirely sure what. There's plenty of things it could be. What's been going on lately. That recent letter he got from Mary. Some fight or a job that didn't go just so.
But Hosea's not going to just sit and watch Arthur stew in it, so he decides to ask him to join him in a little herb gathering.
He'll figure out what has him grinding his teeth so much, one way or another.

Summary
It's been a long time since Arthur cared about anybody the way he cares about Charles. He loves the gang of course, even the members that are more annoying than most (Micah being the exception). But he doesn't remember how this courting thing works. And he wants to. Remember, that is. It feels important to him that Charles be courted, even if he is a man and even if other people would think it's wrong.
If he could also finally find a decent horse that doesn't shy at gunfire, that'd be great.
