Don't get him wrong. He loved Cherry to death. Bob could see himself getting married to her one day. The only problem he had with her is that she was sort of a prude. This was the 60's! The time of swinging and having fun! But of course, Cherry Valance had to be the only girl in all of Oklahoma who wanted to wait till marriage.
So he'd found other ways to relieve himself, and not just with his own hand.
