Belladonna Vexx is Devildom’s leading violinist, so much so that Lord Diavolo himself commissioned the real Stradivari to construct her precious instrument—her baby, as she calls it. When she performs at a House of Lamentation wedding, someone seems to realize how much the violin is worth, and she refuses to take the stealing of it without a fight.
Mammon notices right away how wealthy Belladonna appears, let alone how much that piece of wood might be worth in the Mortal Realm—millions, probably! So, he takes a little five-finger-discount at the first opportunity. Upon his return to Devildom with a full wallet, he’s caught up in the journey to recover Bella’s violin from the human world. In the process, however, they learn more about each other than they ever expected, and not all of it is information they want to know. By the time they realize they’ve gotten close, it’s too late.
