Summary
Sarmenti's hand slips down his arm slightly, revealing a mark which resembles a repeated wound, perhaps even a flaying, that seems oddly shapen like a letter. Piqued by curiosity, the highwayman is quick to (as gently as he can, though that isn't saying much as he lacks in the finess of touching another) grasp his elbow, pulling his arm up quickly. Sarmenti jerks. "What—"
"What's this?" Dismas asks.
The clown's body stiffens, shoulders ridged and tense.

Summary
"Your voice is grating on my ears. I feel sorry for anyone who must listen to you right now."
At least the clown's well enough to jest. Regardless, he raises his hand to Sarmenti's mask, thumbing over the crack and thus the eye hole. "Mh bad." He says, throat aching from the screaming and the burns.
"I told you not to talk," Sarmenti's voice wavers, and his hand, blistered fingers and all, comes up to hold Dismas' hand against the side of his head.

Summary
"I didn't lose a bar fight to a twinkish clown."
When it reigistered, the clown couldn't help but nearly keel over in laughter. Dismas lowered his leg, and he veered to the side, falling onto the rugged entrance to the inn, still madly chortling as he ran out of breath. "I'm serious."
"I know!" He kept giggling, expending all of his air.
—
Or: Sarmenti thinks about his past a bit more than he’d intended to.
