Inspired by: How the Alpha became an Omega by Just_a_Phantom
In most ABO stories, there are established customs, laws, medical research and support systems for the characters. Everyone has a reasonable idea what to do when an omega coworker or ally goes into heat. But what if this was something new? What if none of that existed? What if nobody knew what was going on? What if clues scattered over the world of Resident Evil pointed to a long, dark prehistory?
After mutating and spending his first heat with Albert Wesker, Chris goes home to find out he's pregnant. And Albert's absence is driving him to find another mate. His friends and sister are the only ones keeping him from having a nervous breakdown. An Omega's desire for companionship is driving him mad, and Leon is happy to fill the void. For what kind of Alpha leaves their mate on their own?
A year and a half prior, Jake Muller found an injured and heavily mutated Piers Nivans on his way to join Sherry for a mission. The three of them have settled down in a J'avo colony assigned to monitor the community for trouble. Life is hard, but they have each other. Still, there's something odd about Piers' behavior...

Summary
Ethan Winters, Karl Heisenberg and Daniela Dimatrescu are ressurected and go looking for answers as to how. But the two locals are far more fortunate than Ethan, who is only human inside the fungal matrix. Outside, he's weak and vulnerable, dependant on Karl and Daniela to interact with the real world. Ethan needs a body, and it looks like a far more symbiotic relationship with the cadou and mold are in his future. It looks like they won't be alone however, as sightings of a very changed Chris Redfield and a creepy blonde stranger begin to crop up, and more people in the same predicament as Ethan and Karl begin to show up, including some who may be able to aid BSAA's Internal Affairs investigation into BSAA's European branch as witnesses.
As time goes on, and his relationship with Ethan grows, biology and a crisis in Valdelobos force Karl to come to terms with an old saying by Janis Joplin "Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" and another by the Rolling stones "you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find you get what you need."

Summary
Part of my ABO Origins universe, if confused read the first story as the ending establishes the scenario in this one.
Wesker grew back from just a head, now he has a second chance and is helping Chris and the gang hunt down the origins of Alpha, Beta and Omega genes. Wesker found out he is a sterile omega, his organs just didn't develop. The damage is genetic, and Spencer's experiments on him as a child were probably to blame. Angery and anguished at being deprived yet another choice by his dead abuser, Wesker desperately wants to understand what Chris went through when he was in heat, even if it means inducing one on himself with Rebecca's research.
