Summary
Before applying to work on the intergalactic space station, you made sure to do your due diligence. You weren’t going in blind. You made sure you knew what you were getting into. You’ve read the accounts, the incensed Reddit posts. You’ve read peer-reviewed articles. You read scaremongering news items and, not to put too fine a point on it, outright xeno porn stories.
There are a lot of the latter. This is an illustration of your overarching finding: humans are hot for aliens, to life- and world-ruining consequences.
