Summary
The hunter was sitting, leaning back against a tree, eyes closed as if he was simply asleep. His pack was opened next to him and Vil could see the simple rations Rook favored inside. At first glance, nothing seemed amiss. But a splash of lurid red amongst the soft greens and browns of the forest drew Vil’s eye. Just past the fingertips of Rook’s right hand, as if he’d simply dropped it, was an apple missing only a single bite.
It couldn’t be… Vil thought in dawning horror. He crept closer, hoping against all odds that Rook would wake, but the huntsman didn't stir.

Summary
“Done!” Cater breathed a sigh of relief once he’d corked the vial. Making the potion had been time consuming but not too difficult in the end. Now all he needed to do was tidy up the workshop before heading to Pomefiore and his date with Vil. Any mess left in the workshop would negate the extra credit he’d earned from Crewel. In practically no time at all thanks to the use of Split Card, Cater had finished washing all the tools he’d used and had put everything away where it belonged.
Giving the room one last look over before he dismissed his clones, Cater noticed the drink Vil had brought him when he had visited earlier. He had totally forgotten about it with how focused he had been on making sure the potion was brewing correctly. After carefully placing the completed potion in the cabinet and making sure it was labeled properly, Cater grabbed the drink and took a sip as he headed for the door. He was about to pocket his phone and reach for the doorknob when a wave of dizziness swept over him.
“Wha-what’s…” Cater didn't get a chance to finish his question before his vision started closing in around the edges.

Summary
“I assume you’ve done all the quality checks already then?” Jade meanwhile had circled around behind Azul and wrapped his arms around him in a loose hug.
“Of course. I’m quite the expert at meeting your exacting standards.” The eel replied. He reached up with a gloved hand and turned Azul’s face towards him for a deeper kiss. He knew once Floyd got back he’d have to share again, but for right now, Azul was all his. He’d make the most of the time he had alone with him. Azul eagerly returned the kiss, sighing contentedly as his eyes slid closed.
There were several different reactions that Jade thought were possible. He expected for Azul to perhaps be flustered by the display of affection. Maybe he would indulge until they were interrupted. He might point out that this was technically work so they should focus on the task at hand. Or perhaps he would try to escape the eel’s grasp while blushing furiously. The last one being Jade’s personal favorite. What he did not expect was for his Housewarden to suddenly go limp in his arms when he pulled away.
“Azul?” There was no response. If he didn’t know any better, Jade would think Azul was just asleep. But he did know better.Series
