He looks at her, her carefree smile, so charming and so pretty, bubbly and beautiful. He stares, watching as she karaoke’s the rest of the song like a lovesick fool.
Shit. This might be more than a work crush, Curly realizes, and that’s all too scary. He pushes it down.
She wraps his hand in gauze. He beams at her and hops up off the nursing bed. ❝ Thanks, mate. ❞ He says, and Anya lets out a small pfft.
❝ You’re welcome, mate. ❞
He can’t find it in himself to be offended.
