Shepard and Joker attend a pregnancy class with EDI
“All these advances in technology, but I’m still sitting on a bouncy ball with swollen ankles.” Katra muttered crossly to her companions. Jeff was on one side, EDI on the other, and Shepard butt was firmly planted on a massive, pastel pink ball. “Why am I here again?”
“Your doctor believes that familiarizing yourself with the environment in advance will make your labor easier. To that end, I have taken the liberty of uploading the hospital map in addition to my own scans and am analyzing for the best routes from all possible entrances.” EDI answered, tapping her temple to make her point.
“Did you remember to account for all the windows and roof access?” Joker nudged his pregnant sweetheart gently with his shoulder, hoping to coax a smile out of her. “Shepard doesn’t believe in conventional entrances and exits.”Series

Summary

Jeff grinned, watching his daughter eschew the rest of her brightly wrapped gifts in favor of her new favorite toy: a large cardboard box that had contained a new chest plate for Katra's armour. He was on the ground, just beside the tree with its tempting tinsel, brightly colored ornaments and multicolored, blinking lighst. To protect it, and their daughter, they'd given up and put the tree inside Hilly's playpen.
