Summary
Helena Bertinelli is the adopted daughter of Franco and Maria whose world was turned upside down by her family's murder. But if there was one thing she learned about the harsh realities of Gotham at her father's knee, it was to never waste an opportunity.
She pulls her hand out of Catwoman’s and marvels at the guard's silver Rolex that had just been given to her.
“Word to the wise,” Catwoman says, already lengthening her stride to walk away, “nobody in Gotham trusts a lone kid not to pick their pocket. Get a partner.”
She jams the watch in her pocket and jogs after the woman, demanding, “Teach me.”
“Nope,” the thief replies, popping the p sound. “You’re all outta free lessons.”

When he sees the name, he forces himself not to do a double-take and waits to confirm it on the next page.
“Selina Kyle,” Helena murmurs the name aloud.
She finally stops flipping the pages and stares at her original birth certificate. Her mother is listed as one Selina Kyle, right there in bold letters that make Tim’s brain feel like it's about to melt out of his ears.
Red Hood meets a violent child on a quest for revenge. Robin meets a strange girl searching for her family. Catwoman can't stop finding the same little stray who's always getting into trouble. Batman just wants to know what the hell is going on in his city.
All Helena wanted was to find out who ordered the hit on the family that raised her and then to kill Santo Cassamento. How it spiralled out of control so fast after she accomplished one-half of that goal she doesn't know, but she'd like it to stop now.
TLDR; The universe where in her first year as Catwoman, Selina Kyle gave up her baby instead of tracking down the father and everything is different.
