Summary
There’s a breeze that blows some of the palm fronds against one another, and Hajime notices that the trees make a distinct sound that he’s never quite heard before. At the academy, when the trees swayed, it sounded like the low-pitched flapping of bird wings. The palms, waxy leaves brushing one another, are more like waves against the sand.
Hajime closes his eyes and looks up, taking in the sound. There had been a lot encoded into the audio files of the program—the strum of a ukelele, the crashing of the water on the rocks—but now is the first moment Hajime has ever heard something so mundane as the palm trees swaying in the wind.

Summary
Somewhere along the way, he started to memorize everything Hinata had ever told him. It was as if Hinata was a part of him, a constant reminder of his weakness. He knows how Hinata takes his coffee in the morning, his favorite month of the year and his shoe size. He knows that Hinata has a nail biting problem and a certain sensitivity to being criticized. He knows that Hinata is a lot less put together than he seems from an outsider’s point of view. He knows all the things that make Hinata tick, all the people he’s been and the ones he’ll never get to be.
