Humanity's greed doomed their home planet, so in a desperate bid for escape, they constructed two massive colony arks to flee in. While the richest and most useful secured their seats on the arks, they weren't the only passengers aboard. The courts of Faerie, long-weakened by the industrialization of their home also snuck in alongside the humans. The two ships, built as they were of the most advanced alloys available, lacked the critical element of iron. And with a thousand years of dreaming humans to feed off of? Well, let's just say humanity won't be the ones on top when the arks arrive at their new planet.
