Summary
When God’s power spirals out of control at the end of everything, Jack does the unthinkable—saves them all by sending himself, Michael, and Sam backwards through time. Now trapped in the past, with no way home, Sam is stuck reliving his Stanford years with a toddler Nephilim calling him “Dad,” and a furious, powerless archangel housed in an 18-year-old body.
To survive, they pose as college students raising a kid together. But the longer Michael lives as a human, the less he wants to go back. And as Jack grows, and Sam watches Michael stumble through parenthood, grief, and slow healing, both of them begin to realize that maybe being human isn’t a punishment. Maybe it’s a second chance.
