“Shh,” Eddie hushes, tugging again until Buck’s on the other side of him, his other arm squished beneath him. “Sleep.”
Or, Eddie's always fallen slow. Buck's always fallen fast. This time they fall together.

“LAFD!” A voice calls back. “Just a practice exercise! No cause for alarm!”
Or, hot firefighters keep parading past his window. What's Buck supposed to do but flirt?

“…not quickly.”
“Are you…okay?”

Summary
A giggle bursts out of him before he can stop it. An actual, genuine giggle. It lands as more of a strangled, choking wheeze, given that he slaps his hand over his mouth to muffle it as it escapes.
He can recognize that it’s probably impolite to laugh in a moment like this. Unfortunately, it appears he has the giggles.
Or, it's really late, and Buck and Eddie have the giggles.
