Summary
The Inquisitor's birthday is coming up. How would our usuals at Skyhold handle it?
Some fluff, and some drama in building the world and story, as well as establishing some aspects of my Inquisitor's personality. Mostly interactions between the companions

Sera leaned in curiously. “Well out with it already, what sort of news is it that Issy-prissy isn’t supposed to hear?
The ambassador took a deep breath, shaking her head at the nickname the Inquisitor had been stuck with and smiled at them. “With the Inquisitor’s birthday coming up next week, Lelianna and I were hoping that those of the Inner Circle could throw a surprise birthday party for him.”

Summary
The Inquisitor pushes forward to the Exalted Plains, but all does not go well in the fight with the demons.
Warning: Some, if very slight, graphic imagery on the fight scenes and injuries.Fairly Cole heavy. He's such a sweetie.

A fireball erupted from the hands of the Arcane Horror, heading right towards them. “Jump!” Dorian cried as the group splintered. Islington reacted and jumped away from his friends, rolling onto the wooden planks as he felt the warmth of the flames lick at his ankles. They had barely missed getting burned. He turned his head, trying to find his friends and came face to face, with the gaping mouth of a Despair demon. Islington’s eyes widened at the sight of the numerous teeth.

Summary
The tale that the Inquisitor tells during a game of Wicked Grace with his companions
It's a short tale, enough for a drink
------------------------------------------------------
Now picture this, one small petite woman, trying to barge her way up the tower in some of the finest gowns in the Free Marches, waving a fan angrily at some of the newer templars and mages, while carrying her giant pet rabbit, Fluffor. Fluffor wasn't exactly your small edible type of rabbit. He was fairly large and heavy… One of those Antivian floppy ears. So she hurtled up the stairs, fan gesticulating wildly at everyone while carrying a rabbit tucked under her arm.

Summary
My headcanon as to why my Inquisitor has yellow irises. Mostly on the interaction between Morrigan and Flemeth at the Crossroads, with dialogue mostly taken from the in game scenes.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The figure stood up to regard their arrival. “Now isn't this a surprise,” she spoke, her voice smooth. Her mannerism and voice reminded Islington of a curled up viper, ready to strike at a moment’s notice while giving the illusion that it was relaxed. Growing up in Thedas had taught him one thing; if you met someone who was old, you had better be wary of them. With the way things were at the moment, unless they had protection from others, if anyone got that old, they were generally very good at surviving and their enemies were very good at dying or had the tendency to experience something very horrible to them.

Summary
Cullen tries to deal with his lyrium addiction.
--------------------------------------------------“Is something the matter Commander?” The aide asked as he looked up from his paperwork. The scout had just returned from the field and was recovering from a leg injury. Leliana had graciously assigned him as the scout had wanted to serve but could not.
“I just need some fresh air,” Cullen said as he got up from his desk before a wave of nausea came over him and he slumped against the side of the desk.
The aide got up to assist the man, reaching to support him but as he got close, Cullen let out a frustrated roar and reached out, gripping the man’s sword arm in a disarming manner. The aide’s eyes widened as he tried to pry himself free of the former templar’s grasp.
“Ser?” he asked as he noticed a wild feral look in the other’s eyes.

Summary
This story isn't about recovering.
War changes people.
Some are better adapted to handling its horrors, some aren't.
But life still has to go on.
This story is about how the Inquisition copes when their leader falters.
The Inquisitor has been avoiding his closest friends. The stress of it all has been getting to the scholarly young man who had to take up the mantle of Inquisitor. Giving orders and killing where necessary. He finally cracks.
-----“The voices get louder. Listen to the well. I can't hear it. Where's the whispers? Anything’s better than this. You will fail. I will not fail. I need Dorian. No can't have him, you're so needy. Can't put this pressure on him. This is silly. Maker I can't keep their faces away. Leave me alone. I did my best! It's not enough. I could have saved more… Why did they have to die? They didn't have to attack. Why are you attacking? No these are voices. Think of numbers, wrap the Fade around the ice, tug at the loops of time. You failed them. You could have done more. Multiply it by seven. Stop. Stop. Stop! STOP!” Cole said suddenly, the panic evident in his voice.
“I don't hear him.” The spirit’s voice was back to its gentle monotonous tone.
