Never thought he would get in a fight with Frank, — three days before Christmas, no less — never thought he would say so many hurtful things to his boyfriend and storm off instead of apologising like an adult. And now he stands in the middle of the liquor store, ready to fall off the wagon, just because of a fight.
I wish I never met you.During a fight Gerard wishes he never met Frank, and the universe decides to teach him a lesson. Not that Gerard needed it in the first place, but nobody asked for his opinion.

Summary
The thing is, Frank respects retail workers’ rights. Been there, done that, grew to hate customers that show up five minutes before closing to do three weeks worth of shopping, especially when Christmas is around the corner and only psychos want to stay at work after the official closing hours this time of year. He would really prefer to spend as little time at the store as possible and let the poor cashier go home. And this is where the problem arises: Frank can't find flour. He is almost certain that the store has to have something as basic as flour.

He spent the entire first half December driving around New Jersey and beyond to visit all his relatives, including those whom he last saw when he was a baby, and after that he had to make sure he had presents for everyone, so the party at Ray’s place was fairly low on his list of priorities. In fact, Frank completely forgot he had to buy a sweater for it right until Gerard called him on the morning of the big day.
“Did you get it?” Gerard asks, and it takes Frank too long to figure out that, one: Gerard means a sweater for Ray’s party, and two: Frank didn’t, in fact, buy said sweater.Series

Selling cookies at a Christmas market isn’t something Frank has been particularly looking forward to. His school organises a charity market every year a week before Christmas break, and every time Frank finds out at the very last moment that he is supposed to participate. It’s not that Frank is against charity, he just doesn’t like it when it’s forced on him. That, and he has a fleeting suspicion that at least some of the raised money goes straight into the headmaster’s pocket, which is really messed up but Frank has no proof of that so he can’t use it as a proper argument.
