Summary
Bolaire's transferring of ownership had a handful of common reactions; dread, bargaining, rage, fear, or even just grim acceptance. As the wars raged on, sometimes the reactions were nothing at all.
The soldiers kept their distance, whispers in the night about whether or not they could remove the mask at all, questioning the wisdom of those who gave him to them and assured he was safe. Bolaire had no opinion on this matter. He was made, played his part, reforged, did his job, fell asleep, and now found himself awake again.
