“Tim?” Barbara says, turning from her view of the room to focus on the phone pressed to her ear. “You haven’t heard from Dick have you?”
“No,” Tim replies. Barbara hadn’t really expected otherwise but… “Why?” he asks, alert. “Did something happen?”
Barbara’s lips draw together, she glances towards her computer, and it sits, Dick’s communication channel still down and unresponsive. It’s been like that all day and usually, Barbara wouldn’t worry but—
“It could be nothing,” Barbara says, and those words never hold the weight of reassurance they should. “He messaged me last night and he hasn’t replied since, something about going to help Mayor Zucco…”

Summary
Tim does eventually get Bruce on a gurney. He’s passed out, both hands pushed into his eyes again. Light sensitivity, Tim knows.
Alfred is still holding the holy water and stake, eyeing the blood stains from his place in the room. Tim's hands, Bruce’s mouth, neck, all down B's shirt. Bruce’s fingernails, Tim's shoulders and arms. The floor. The bed sheets. Everything Tim’s touched since moving Bruce.
Tim’s mouth, he realises belatedly.

Summary
The moment Alfred appears in the doorway Bruce is alert that something's wrong. “Alfred?” he asks, already standing and walking towards him.
“It’s Master Dick, sir,” Alfred fills in, leading Bruce back down the hall. He says as they walk, “He’s just shown up in… quite a state.”
Bruce glances over, taking in Alfred’s pallor, and his lips thin. He glances back down the hall and they arrive at the lowest level before any question can form amidst his worry. “Alfred?” he asks quietly as they approach the dining room.
“He’s covered in blood,” Alfred answers just as quietly, eyes flicking over, expression tight. “He’s not injured but he’s decidedly…” his lips purse. “Not himself.”
Or, Dick kills a bunch of vampires and then goes home

Summary
“So, what’s the plan?” Tim asks, frowning slightly.
Bruce regards them both. “Barbara’s doing some digging. His last phone call mentioned rising crime rates between the vampires in Bludhaven.”
Damian’s expression drops into a scowl. “You mean his conversation with the mayor.”
Bruce grunts and Damian’s eyes narrow. “Grayson wouldn’t just walk himself into a vampire bite, Father, it was clearly a trap—”
“We can’t make assumptions,” Tim interrupts him, no real dispute in his voice. He’s frowning harder, continues, “We should check out Bludhaven—” and Damian’s glare dies between one quick glance and another, turning back to Bruce as he straightens in place.
