“Love isn’t the problem,” Ilya gapes, flicking Svetlana’s shoulder playfully in mock offense at the love drunk imitation of himself she’s currently teasing him with.
“It’s the eight years before the love,” Shane clarifies.
“It wasn’t eight years!” Hayden exclaims and he’s far too confident, Ilya thinks.
“It was basically eight years,” he argues, rolling his own eyes at the gall of Hayden speaking on their behalf like this when he was barely even there.
“Maybe for you two to say something about it but come on,” Hayden huffs. “Shane was in love with Lily for years!”
“And Lily was in love with Jane even when he was fucking me,” Svetlana adds and Rose can’t help herself.
“And Jane was in love with Lily even when he was fucking me,” she calls.
