"I sat barefoot on the porch, enjoying the final rays of golden sunlight for the day. The cicadas sang through the trees, creating the most peaceful scene. I rocked in the wooden rocking chair while reading one of Mychael’s books, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It was one of Mychael’s favorites.
“There was nothing else to do, so Alice began talking again. “Dinah’ll miss me very much to-night, I should think!” (Dinah was the cat.) “I hope they’ll remember her saucer of milk at tea-time. Dinah, my dear! I wish you were here with me!”
