Summary
That diplomatic, careful stoic expression was still on his face, but Xinlong could see it in his eyes—the sadness, the hope of his swift return. Xinlong had trouble reading the man’s expression and intentions at first, but as they got to know each other more, he found himself knowing what was going on in his head even if the commander hadn’t intended to show it.
