Myriam shifts in her seat, now facing Paul.

Paul blinks. That’s it ? That’s her theory ?

Before he could ask if she’s gone insane, Lila speaks up.
“Basically she thinks his brother doesn’t exist and he’s actually the one doing all those stunts in the movies.”
By the loud noise from under the table, Paul guesses Myriam kicked Lila over spoiling everything.OR, Ryland’s coworkers’ journey to try and figure out what’s that secret Ryland’s been keeping ever since the start of the school year.

And that’s Tom’s cue to leave. He’s in no condition to react accordingly to the guy’s sudden act of kindness. And even less seeing him concerned about Tom.
It’s just not right.
So he opens the car door, starts the car and drives off before Seavers can do anything.
Sure, he doesn’t want Ryland’s brother to hate him, but he definitely doesn’t want to cry in front of him.
Because that’s what he’s fighting not to. Crying.
He’s not afraid of storms. Really he’s not.
He’s just afraid of all the memories it brings up.OR, There's a storm, and Tom freaks out. Thankfully, Ryland’s there for him. (I couldn't find a better way to explain, forgive me)
