Summary
Princess Lucy, raised to follow royal protocol with expectations already laid out for her, changes her mind about all of it when her father introduces her to his friend and lord's son on one eventful night, whose magic just happened to be descended from an extinct race of dragons.
Unbeknownst to either of them, they, along with several others, become the victims of a plot to sow paranoia and corruption within the kingdom. The sequel to Bloodlines.
Natsu Dragneel, no longer a wanted man (for the most part), is excited to take up a new journey with Lucy as she searches for the golden keys alongside the rest of his friends, but he doesn't think about the missing part of history that concerns him and his origins. Who was his ancestor, whose magic flows through his blood, and how did they acquire it? How were those with draconic magic nearly wiped out? What in the past was his half-brother, Zeref, searching for, or perhaps the greater question, what did he discover?
