In a desperate attempt to fulfill his last wish before he dies, Nagito forcibly kidnaps Hajime. Now, locked in a basement together, there is one last chance for Nagito to fulfill his one wish.
This work, I remember it. I remember it! I remember writing it, staying up till 3:00 am to finish it. Yes, yes I love this one. The last one I ever wrote, doesn’t it reflect us perfectly? You tied up yet so free, and I so free yet shackled by sadness to the earth. It writes itself, doesn’t it? I miss you, I do, every day I miss you and write to you but there’s no mail slot in my cell. There’s nothing, there’s nothing but me and my thoughts and the strange man outside my cell writing down my silly thoughts. I want to kill him, I want to chop off his hands, stop him from telling the world how disgusting I am.
How is this fair? How is any of this fair? That little albino brat got to have his sins forgiven and ride off into the sunset with his little boyfriend! I’m stuck here, alone and freezing, with nothing but my thoughts to keep me company. Hajime smiled, held his hand, as though everything was going to be okay, but it was all wrong. The whole island was corrupt, buffering and glitched. And he kept smiling, he just kept telling him it was going to be alright. As though he loved him. As though he didn’t care about the killings and the bloodshed so long as he was by his side.
What was this? What was this romance, this love? Mikan couldn’t understand it, had refused to accept it, had pushed it down and stood on its grave with a stake in her hand and trembling fingers. She was not an equal, she was something lesser, something deserving of ridicule and pain, that was what her family had told her. Was she joking?
