Dick smiled warmly, and Tim found himself relaxing his muscles a bit. He…he hated to admit his words were right. But…
“...It’s hard, trying not to think for a second,” he admitted softly, hugging his legs and pressing his cheek to his elbows so he could see Dick. “Even when I’m asleep there are numbers and equations and variables running in my brain every second and I can’t get myself to stop. Even when I’m on a break forced by all of you. When I’m playing video games with Jason and Biz or training with Cass and Steph or eating lunch with Luke or Duke or hanging out with Kate after patrol or even playing chess with Bruce and Alfred or teaching you and Damian how to hack, my mind is always in a thousand places. It’s a good thing, but sometimes I wish there was an off switch.”
“Oh, Tim,” Dick said sadly, but Tim shook his head and buried his face into his arms, exhaling loudly.

Summary
Don’t get him wrong, he still believed his anger towards Bruce was justified, and sometimes he disagreed with his methods of dealing with his opponents, but now that his mind was clear and his heart was free he saw just how cruel he had been. How much grief he had given everyone. His anger clouded his judgement, blinded him, causing him to do unspeakable things. He was so lost in his own head he never once stopped to think just how messed up Bruce had been.
‘Fuck. Oh fuck I messed up a lot of shit, didn’t I?’
His dad had just laid his heart out bare and Jason was struggling to figure how to comfort him. After he was revived, words never came easily for him. He preferred letting his siblings do all the emotional talk for fear he might accidentally say the wrong things.
But now? Right now Bruce needed him. Needed him more than ever. And he was the only one here.

Summary
“MR RED HOOD PLEASE!!”
Jason’s head finally snapped up, blood freezing after realizing who that voice belonged to. Like a rubber band, his senses snapped back as the Pit retreated, irritated but satisfied for the time being (and that thought alone made him want to throw up). He turned around slowly, fearing the worst.
It wasn’t the complete worst, but it was still enough to shake him up a little.
OR, Jason and Tim are in the middle of busting a child trafficking ring and Jason basically loses it (in a good way)
Red Robin stood behind him, one hand clutching his bo while the other was raised, his domino mask not hiding the shock on his face. Behind him were the kids, who looked even more terrified than they were before, huddling next to his little brother and hiding behind his cape. But the little girl that yelled out to him was standing in front of him, eyes watching him tearfully and clutching a stuffed animal.
And then, reality finally hit him.

“I swear to God,” Tim said, climbing through the window and landing gracefully into the living room, “how much money do I have to pay you to rest and wait and not cook at the ungodly hour of two in the morning?”
He removed his mask and unfastened his cape and utility belt, ignoring the way his stomach grumbled right after he uttered those words out loud. From the kitchen his boyfriend laughed, cutting through the loud sizzling of the pan. “Welcome back. And for the 30th time, no amount of money will ever stop me from cooking for you. Besides, I like working in the kitchen at any hour, except when I need to be held back in school. In that case, getting a batburger is completely acceptable.”
Tim sighed, tossing his shoes on the rack near the door and trudging into the kitchen. Bernard smiled at him, flipping over what looked like chicken with the metal tongs, the smell making his mouth almost water. Considering the last thing he ate was a salad he haphazardly threw together with pumpkin seeds to give it a crunch and a boiled egg right before patrol–which had been roughly five hours ago–no wonder he felt like he could float to heaven right about now.
