Summary
He hears Ian's sharp intake of breath as their eyes meet, sees the way they widen and how his mouth falls open slightly. He looks…shocked? Mickey isn't looking too hard, to be honest, strangely nervous under his husband's gaze in a way he hasn't been in a long time. What's Ian thinking about? Does he like it? Does he hate it? Fuck, Mickey's turning into a fifteen year-old girl, what the hell.
Franny, on her part, doesn't seem to notice the strange atmosphere. She just sits down by her makeup box and starts talking about the different kinds of makeup she wanted to put on Mickey's face, but couldn't, and how she really, really wants to try putting makeup on Debbie when she picks her up after work, because she always lets Franny put makeup on her and she always looks really pretty.
"Doesn't Uncle Mickey look pretty?" She asks, looking up at Ian from her position on the floor.
"Uh," Ian starts.

God, Mickey looks so good. He hasn't wiped the eyeliner off yet, and his whole worried thing he's got going on is strangely attractive. Ian's officially lost it. Mickey's just staring at him. He should probably say something. If only his braincells would do anything productive.
"You didn't wash it off?" is what he lands on, the words feeling awkward as they leave his mouth, trying desperately to sound normal.
Mickey stares back, shrugs. "Didn't wanna hurt Franny's feelings."
Fuck, he can't stop staring at him. He looks so good. His eyes look so blue, his skin looks even more pale than usual, which enhances his dark hair and the dark eyeliner around his eyes. He looks amazing. Like a model. Or a really sexy vampire or something. Ian can't fucking think straight, okay? Sue him. His husband looks so fucking good and he can't be normal about any of this and Mickey's looking at him like he's freaking him out but he can't stop staring.
