Summary
Nico and Lewis belong to a shifter group known as Mercedes. As shifters, they are constantly being hunted by humans.
One night, during a time of celebration for shifters, humans find the meeting; causing nothing but chaos and fear. Nico is unfortunately separated from his mate, gets injured and winding up alone.
While waiting for his wounds to heal in the forest, Nico is unfortunately found by a human. Too bad Nico has a moral conscience not to kill kids. The human in question is sadly a child that has deemed Nico as a responsible adult, and ends up following the shifter around EVERYWHERE!
Nico can't shake the kid off, and sadly the kid is bloody persistent. So Nico makes a deal with the kid. He'll help Max get home and then they'll part ways. How bad could it be?
