Summary
“Well,” he said, all lazy indifference again. “Now that you have narrowly avoided returning to the Academy in disgrace, we should complete your registration.”
Naruto immediately forgot to be concerned.
“Registration?”
“To formally establish Team Seven.”
“We’re already Team Seven.”
“You are currently three unsupervised children standing in a training ground.”
“With a jounin.”
Kakashi turned toward the trees.
“Debatable.”

Summary
It was the man’s hands.
They were working hands—broad fingers, broken nails, thick calluses—but the skin around his knuckles had split recently. Not from timber or rope. The bruises were too round and too evenly spaced.
Someone had stepped on them.
Or struck them with the base of a cane.
Tazuna kept one hand wrapped around the neck of his bottle and the other tucked beneath his opposite arm. Every time the Hokage or Kakashi mentioned payment, his hidden hand tightened.
Fear.

Summary
The village gate opened.
The guards checked their papers.
The market sold vegetables at the same prices it had before they left. Children chased one another beneath the washing lines. A woman complained that someone’s dog had dug up her flower bed.
Nobody stopped to look at the bloodstains that had not entirely washed out of Naruto’s jacket.
Nobody knew that Sasuke had lain beneath a cage of ice with senbon through his body.
Nobody knew Sakura had held pressure on a dying boy’s wounds while a missing-nin demanded that she perform surgery she had never been trained to attempt.
Nobody knew Kakashi had driven lightning through another man’s body and, for an instant, believed he had killed Rin again.
Konoha continued.
Team 7 after Wave.

Summary
Kakashi gave them the emergency flares on the morning of the written examination.
Naruto had expected advice.
He had expected Kakashi to arrive late, read something inappropriate beneath a tree and tell them the chunin exams were an excellent opportunity to experience public humiliation.
Instead, Kakashi was waiting at Training Ground Three before sunrise with four packs laid across the grass.
Four.
One for each member of Team Seven.
Continuation of Naruto Knows - Chunin Exams. Somewhat AU as many fanfics are.

Summary
The preliminary board remained blank for eleven seconds.
Naruto counted.
He did not mean to.
His body had started counting things after Wave.
Exits.
Teammates.
Breaths between one of Kakashi’s nightmares and the next.
Seconds in which a room had not yet decided what it intended to do to them.
Eleven seconds was not long.
It was enough for every candidate in the tower to imagine a different future.

Summary
**Candidate demonstrated unconventional information-gathering ability, situational courage, and developing awareness of his own interpretive bias.**
Naruto placed his guide strip beneath it.
“Unconventional means weird.”
“In this context,” Shikaku said, “yes.”
Naruto read the next line.
**Formal literacy remains below the expected standard for independent chunin field reporting. Candidate successfully used an approved assistive tool and demonstrated willingness to disclose the limitation without abandoning the assessment.**
Naruto’s shoulders tightened.
Shikaku sat across from him with his hands folded inside his sleeves.
He did not look embarrassed by the sentence.
He did not look impressed either.

Summary
Yamato arrived at the Hatake house and insulted the eastern wall.
He did not mean to.
At least, Kakashi chose to believe he did not.
Yamato stood in the courtyard with one hand pressed against an exposed support beam, staring upward with the grave expression of a shinobi examining a critically wounded comrade.
“This is bad.”
Kakashi folded his arms.
“It has remained standing for approximately forty years.”
“That does not make it good.”
Naruto, balanced on the porch railing, pointed at Kakashi.
“I told you.”
“You have no structural training.”
“I have eyes.”
“Unfortunately.”
A continuation of Naruto Knows. Preparedness is sometimes a cause for connection.

Summary
The first sign that Itachi Uchiha had returned to Fire Country was not a body.
It was a cup.
Genma found it on a table in a roadside tea house eighteen kilometres east of Konoha, still warm despite the owner insisting the two travellers who had used the corner booth had left nearly half an hour earlier.
There were two cups.
Brothers, enemies, or something in between? Sasuke's been growing, but has it been enough to change his thirst for revenge?
The Akatsuki make an appearance, are the team ready to confront Naruto's reality? Is Jiraiya ready to be a godfather?

Summary
Sakura’s first command began with Kakashi burning breakfast.
This was not, she would later decide, an omen.
It was merely Kakashi.
The Hatake kitchen had developed an informal morning rhythm depending on who had slept there the night before. Sakura was usually first awake now, partly because hospital shifts had trained her body into unpleasant habits and partly because she had discovered that the compound in the hour before sunrise belonged to a version of itself she liked—the seals humming quietly beneath the floor, old wood cooling after the night, the western fields grey with mist, everyone else close enough to hear and temporarily incapable of demanding anything from her.Series

Summary
The records box did not enter the Hatake house.
Kakashi made that decision before Yamato finished explaining the altered weight. The veranda was part of the home, protected by the compound barrier but crossed daily by children, friends, messengers and shinobi who had learned that the western wall was apparently a philosophical suggestion. A box connected to an active covert network did not belong beside Naruto's abandoned sandals or beneath the window Genma preferred to use instead of the gate.
Sasuke agreed with the decision and disliked it anyway.

Summary
There had been a time when Sasuke would have treated the presence of another person's trap as an argument for solitude. He would have carried both messages into the Uchiha district, opened them beneath barriers no one else knew and returned only after deciding which pieces of the truth his teammates were permitted to receive. That instinct had not vanished. Naruto saw it in the precise way Sasuke returned the strip of ledger paper to its envelope, aligning the edges so the message looked undisturbed, and in the half-step he took toward the corridor before stopping. Privacy remained the shape in which danger felt most familiar to him.

Summary
Repository Six had windows.
This was the first thing Naruto disliked about it.
Hidden places should have looked hidden. They should have been underground, behind stone doors or at the end of tunnels where the air changed before the danger appeared. Repository Six occupied the lower two floors of an abandoned municipal records office near Konoha's northern drainage quarter. Dust filmed the windows. A warped public notice board remained beside the entrance, displaying tax deadlines from nine years earlier and a faded warning against storing bicycles in the corridor. Someone had swept the front steps within the last week.
“Maybe municipal ghosts are tidy,” Naruto whispered.
Kiba, lying behind the next roof ridge with Akamaru tucked inside his coat, sniffed the air. “Ghosts don't use lamp oil.”
“How do you know?”
“Because dead people don't need lamps.”
“They might like them.”
Shino adjusted the insects gathered beneath the guttering. “This dispute cannot be resolved through available evidence.”Series

At the Hatake compound, Yamato repaired the frog's torn shoulder with medical stitching so neat that Sakura accused him of wasting a hidden domestic skill on fortifications. He responded by building a small wooden stand beneath it. Naruto placed the frog on Kushina's box, stepped back and frowned.
