Summary
“Tell me Father, for have you sinned?”
Higuruma sneered in a low tenor as the rosary in his hand tightened against Nanami’s neck. His pupils were blown wide with a decades long curiosity. To see the man he’d spent years searching for seemingly content in his priesthood, on his knees looking up with such a desperation he had long forgotten. Each drag of the cigarette hanging from his mouth burned deep into his lungs as a single touch between the two men cauterized his memories.
“Is it love, a love we’ve both been running away from? You’ve tormented my soul, Higuruma. How will you fix that?”
OR
It was the same stare that etched into his skin with burning intensity. The same exhaustion with a hint of nonchalant disdain he knew of all too well. When Nanami Kento tried so hard to forget Higuruma Hiromi, whose only mission was to force his way into his curated delusion peace.
Fifty-one year old Higuruma Hiromi stood in front of him in the middle of a storm, drenched in the relentless downpour, would forty-two year old Nanami Kento be able to push the man away a second time?
“It’s been ten years, Nanami. Let me love you the way you deserve.”
