[EXT. COURTHOUSE SQUARE — “SHOULDN’T YOU BE IN DETENTION RIGHT NOW?”]
The escapist running down this sidewalk is MARTY BAINES-McFLY, 15, a messy looking kid who has an air of confusion just shy of complete Idiocracy. He’s wearing a red jean jacket, and like most of the disenchanted youth of today, not a stitch of his clothing is without looseness or reference to some band.
He takes out a job advert for the local video store — ink from a fire alarm that covers his hand smears off on it.
He takes a close look at the address on the paper, starting to run in the direction of ‘CLAYTON VIDEO.’
